Summary

Love Sucks follows Mezmeralda, a glamorous 689-year-old vampire, beloved Orlando TV personality, and woman who seemingly has it all except the one thing she wants most: real love. After centuries of heartbreak, bad choices, a deep fear of commitment, and an ancient curse hanging over her romantic life, Mez is thrown into the chaos of modern dating with all the charm, confusion, and emotional baggage that comes with it. What begins as a sharp, funny, supernatural romantic comedy quickly becomes something far more dangerous.
As Mez tries to navigate love in a city built on fantasy, her love interests begin disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Suddenly, the story takes a darker turn. A determined detective suspects she may be a notorious kidnapper. Her therapist begins to fear she could be something far worse. And lurking behind it all is an ancient shadow figure who believes Mezmeralda is the key to a world-altering prophecy. The result is a genre-bending series that starts as a vampire rom-com and slowly reveals itself as a supernatural thriller layered with dark humor, puppetry, mystery, and real emotional stakes.
Think Emily in Paris colliding with Supernatural, with a charismatic vampire at the center of a love story that may be cursed from the start... or tied to something much more sinister.

Mezmeralda's life has been an epic journey spanning centuries, marked by tragedy, resilience, and reinvention. A beautiful talented performer whose fate took a dark turn when she encountered Lord Thaddeus Cromwell at Sunstar Manor. Captivated by her beauty and seeing her as the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, Cromwell forcibly turned her into a vampire against her will. This act of betrayal led to Mezmeralda inadvertently causing the start of the Hundred Years' War by preventing Cromwell from attending a critical peace treaty meeting causing them to go on the run for their lives.
For the next several centuries, Mezmeralda navigated a tumultuous existence, fleeing Europe with Cromwell, enduring abusive relations, and eventually breaking free to wander the world. From the hidden hills of Chengdu during the Yuan Dynasty to the blood-soaked streets of Ville De Sang in medieval France, she sought solace and purpose amidst the chaos of her immortal life.

Her journey included transformative experiences like joining the Ming court in China, seeking redemption in monastic life, and even turning pirate aboard the "Bleeding Heart" during the golden age of piracy.
Despite finding fleeting love with figures like Shakespeare and Sasha Andreyev at the Bolshoi Theatre, tragedy often punctuated her relationships, leaving her heartbroken time and again. Her resilience, however, endured through each era, from her mystic exploits with Harry Houdini's wife Bess, to her eventual rise as a television icon in modern times.
Now, hosting "The Daily Bites" and a fixture in primetime infotainment, Mezmeralda's life is a tapestry woven with centuries of
adventure, sorrow, and ultimately, a quest for love
that persists into her latest chapter on
"Love Sucks."
